SAMPLE ITINERARY

Mexico  in Depth (8 Day Tour)

Day 1 Mexico City

Depart USA  airport for Mexico City.  When you arrive in Mexico City your guide will transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 City Tour

Breakfast. We will visit the historical centre (Zócalo, Cathedral and the Palace of Government) and the Basilica of Guadalupe. Afterwards continue to Teotihuacán where you will have a guided tour of this ancient city and its impressive architecture, including some of the largest pyramids in the world. Return to your hotel. 

Day 3 Mexico City – Queretaro

Breakfast, then, early in the morning we will leave to the UNESCO world heritage town Queretaro where you will have your cooking classes in the historic downtown of Querétaro. The traditional Mexican cooking classes are taught in English and Spanish by experienced chefs. Your group will learn to prepare: Mexican Appetizers (Antojitos), Salsas, Desserts, Tamales, Moles and Mexican Drinks. You will go through the full process of preparing, cooking and eating the delicious Mexican meals. During this time your teacher will lead you every step of the way, and fill you in on the historic and cultural relevance of the Mexican food you are preparing. Accommodation in Queretaro

Day 4   Queretaro – Mexico City - Merida

In the morning sightseeing walking tour of the center of the town, then we will leave to Mexico City airport.  In the afternoon flight from Mexico City to Merida. Upon arrival in Merida transfer to your hotel free time.

Day 5 Mérida – Uxmal – Mérida

Breakfast. In the morning guided city tour of Mérida. In the afternoon travel by Minivan to Uxmal, for a guided tour of this archaeological site and its wonders: The Guesser Pyramid, the Nun's Square, Governor's Palace and the Ballgame Grounds. We invite you for dinner and give you some free time. In the evening enjoy the Light and Sound Show. Return to hotel in  Merida.

Day 6 Mérida – Chichén Itzá – Cancun

Breakfast and departure towards Chichen Itza, the most well known and best restored Mayan site in the Yucatan. Tour includes visits to "The Castle", the Ballgame Grounds, the Observatory, the One Thousand Columns square, Jaguars' Temple, and the Sacred Well (Cenote). Enjoy lunch and travel to Cancun. Check in to your hotel in Cancun.

Day 7 Cancun

Free time to enjoy the beautiful beaches or to go shopping in downtown Cancun (optional tour to Isla Mujeres or Tulum – not included in price)

Day 8 Cancun

Transfer to the airport for your flight to the USA.
